We have this a lot. It’s a broth with short spaghetti noodles. The Spanish girls complain about it and say that it tastes like water. It kind of does but whatever. One day my housemate, Alyssa, asked what we were having and I said “sopa con espegettis” meaning soup with spaghetti. Maria freaked out and was all “Those are not spaghettis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!They’re fideos!!!!” It’s apparently a very important distinction. After making sure we were aware of this vital information, Maria and Tamara laughed at us for being ignorant fools.
